CCTV, Presence and Reflection.
Surveillance and Reflection in a Lateral approach to reality and identity.

2006

Surveillance can be presented as the process of monitoring behaviour for security or social reasons. The difference with other ways of seeing is that it implies close observation, not just contemplation. This text develop a visual investigation about the characteristics of representation, reality, pose and identity based on systems of surveillance using two different perspectives: behind the camera and in front of the camera. It specifically study some visual observation systems as power instruments, devices that are shorting our structures of knowledge and changing our way of perceiving reality.
